Dates in November forthcoming
Need
help organizing your research sources and creating bibliographies? Zotero is a
research tool that helps you gather, organize, and analyze sources (citations,
full texts, web pages, images, and other objects), and lets you share the results
of your research in a variety of ways. This workshop will introduce you to Zotero
and show you how to manage your research within this web-based application.
**If you have a laptop, please bring it to this class since Zotero needs to be
downloaded to your computer. We will have spare laptops available.
Yale
Map Collection GIS Workshops
http://www.library.yale.edu/MapColl/gis_instruction.html
An
introduction to ESRI's ArcGIS Geographic Information Systems Software Suite, for
which Yale University maintains an Enterprise-level license.
The workshops
are open to all Yale University Community members and we are particularly interested
in exposing undergraduate students to spatial analysis using GIS.
We are
making the workshop sessions "drop-ins," so that registration is no
longer required. However, because there are only 16 available seats in the Electronic
Classroom, availability will be on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage
interested participants to continue to use the registration page, however, so
that we may gauge interest.
