Displaying search results

There are three types of display options: Headings, Brief and Full

  • Headings display 
    • Includes one line for each heading, with a count of the different records that use the heading
    • A Headings list is always the initial display after a search
    • Headings are listed in alphabetical order
  • Brief display 
    • Includes one line for each item in your result, with the date of publication
    • Result sets of 250 or fewer records are sorted by author, then title, then date 
    • You can change the sort default order by clicking the Options button in the left frame and choosing the appropriate radio button
  • Full display 
    • Includes details from records, including publication information, physical details and library call numbers
  • Library call number display
    • To display a library’s local call number, select that library from the Version menu
