ACADEMIC AND RESEARCH
Center
for Interdisciplinary Reserach on AIDS (CIRA)
CIRA's mission is to support the conduct of interdisciplinary research
focused on the prevention of HIV infection and the reduction of consequences
of HIV disease in vulnerable and undeserved populations nationally
and abroad.
China
Law Center
Established in 1999, the Center carries out research and teaching, promotes
academic exchanges with China, and undertakes a variety of cooperative projects
on important issues in Chinese law and policy reform.
Economic Growth Center
A research organization within the
Yale Department of Economics that was created in 1961 to analyze,
both theoretically and empirically, the process of economic growth
and the economic relations between low and high income countries.
International Center for Finance
The International Center for Finance at the Yale School of Management
provides active support for research in financial economics by its
fellows and disseminates their work to the world's academic and professional
communities. In addition, the Center provides summer research support
and funding for visiting fellows and travel support for doctoral student
fellows.
International
Security Studies at Yale
The center supports interdisciplinary research
and teaching in grand strategy, international history, and security
studies, with particular reference to diplomatic and military history.
Kamusi Project
Kamusi is
the Swahili word for dictionary, and the The Internet Living
Swahili Dictionary is designed to fill a need in African Studies
and East African education. Using the Internet, the project draws
on the minds of speakers and scholars of Swahili all over the
world, to produce a "living" on-line
dictionary that can be updated constantly and available instantaneously
from any networked computer anywhere in the world.

The
MacMillan Center
The MacMillan Center is the University's focal point for encouraging and coordinating
teaching and research on international affairs, societies, and cultures around
the world. The Center seeks to make understanding the world outside the borders
of the United States, and the role of the United States in the world, an integral
part of liberal education and professional training at the University.
Programs
in International Educational Resources (PIER)
Managed by the MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies,
the Program draws upon Yale University's extensive resources to
develop and implement programs, services and resources designed
to advance understanding of international and world regional
issues through outreach to education, business, media and
the public.
Orville
H. Shell, Jr. Center for International Human Rights
Founded in 1989 to honor the late Orville H. Schell, Jr., a distinguished
lawyer, vice chairman of Helsinki Watch, and chairman of Americas
Watch from its founding in 1981 until his death in 1987, the Center
coordinates a diverse program of human rights activities that serve
students and scholars at Yale and contrubute to the development of
the human rights community locally and internationally.
Yale
Center for the Study of Globalization (YCSG)
Launched in the fall of 2001, the YCSG was designed to enrich the
debate about globalization on campus and to promote the flow of ideas
between Yale and the policy world.

Russian Archive Project (YRAP)
The YRAP site will provide scholars around the world with detailed
information about the archives before they travel to Russia, Ukraine
and other former-Soviet republics.

The World Fellows Program aims to build a global network of emerging
leaders and to broaden international understanding at Yale University.
