Yale University Library Rescue Repository: Setup, Installation and Training Procedure
The Yale University Library Rescue Repository (RR) is a managed storage environment for at risk digital materials owned by collections within the Yale University Library (YUL). It functions as a central storage space, administered by Integrated Systems and Programming (IS&P), where copies of these valuable digital materials may reside.
Rescue Repository Setup 1. CONTACT: Please contact the RR support person (Jenn Nolte, x2- 4878) at IS&P to request use of the Rescue Repository (RR) for your collection. 2. START UP: When you have contacted IS&P, you will be asked to read the About the Rescue Repository, Pricing Information and System Requirements documents.
Rescue Repository Installation The RR ingest, retrieval and delete applications will be installed via PC Amigo on the workstations you have indicated in your Startup Worksheet. Prior to your training date, a confirmation email will be sent with instructions on preparation for RR training.
Rescue Repository Training Once the RR functions are successfully installed, the RR support person will then train the designated staff members who will be using the RR. The staff members who are listed as contacts for their collection in the Startup Worksheet will typically be trained in the use of all three functions. For questions, comments or suggestions about the Rescue Repository or this site, please contact Jenn Nolte (x2-4878) at IS&P. |
