HR ALERT!!
By now all managerial and professional staff should have received their
performance evaluation forms. The deadline date for having these forms
in Human Resources is June 30, 2000. Please call Human Resources if
you have not received your form.
Hiring Supervisors
The summer months are quickly approaching! Now is the time to get your
student requisitions completed for summer help. Formal notices will
be out shortly.
After May 10, 2000 full time hours increase from 17 to 37.5/week for student
positions.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Monday, April 24
Principles and Practices of Contract Administration; all supervisors,
with responsibilities for Local 34 bargaining unit staff, are encouraged
to attend. This session is without charge and specifically designed
for library supervisors. The session is being held from 9-12 at the
Learning Center.
Monday, May 8
University's Service Awards: For those who have completed 5, 10, 15 and 20
years of service.
Wednesday, June 14
University's Long Service Dinner: For those who have completed 25,
30, 35 and 40 years of service.

life that has participants moving
more towards balance than away

"Strategy in Action" will help you
to achieve much greater long-term

In this course we will identify
what strategic planning is, how to
translate departmental goals into
personal action steps, and how to
measure progress toward goals
and your organization's vision.

Diversity II: How Differences
Impact Group Interactions
After developing a personal
awareness of our own diversity
characteristics, the next step is to
examine how we interact with
others of difference, particularly
in work settings. This course will
look at how diversity issues
impact teamwork and how to
work in and manage diverse
groups.
