This guide lists and describes major research collections in microform, housed for the most part in the Microform Reading Room in Sterling Memorial Library. Excluded from this listing are works by single individuals, library catalogs, and collections too narrow in scope to be considered major. All the microform materials described here should be listed in the Microform Reading Room card catalog as well as in Orbis or the Sterling public card catalog; unless labeled otherwise, they can be found in the Microform Reading Room.

The collections are listed by main entry, and each description includes place of publication, publisher, and date, the number of reels, fiche, or microprints, and the film, fiche, or microprint call number. An annotation accompanies each record, as well as a note identifying available guides or indexes and providing their locations and call numbers. Each title is linked to the corresponding Orbis record.
