Mission of Library Human Resources
Guided by the principles of fairness, inclusion, customer service and teamwork,
Library Human Resources (LHR) provides the leadership and advocacy required
to promote a flexible and agile work environment to meet the changing and diverse
human resource needs of the library staff, the library's most valuable asset.
LHR succeeds in this effort through the effective and efficient administration
of recruitment and retention, job placement, staff and labor relations, recognition,
training, salary administration, safety, and innovative professional development

These initiatives and services, delivered at the highest standard of quality,
are designed to support the organizational development of the library and enable
all levels of staff to perform their individual duties at the highest level
of competence.
