INTEREST
BASED PROBLEM SOLVING (IBPS)
The Library’s
Joint Departmental Committee
successfully implemented several labor-management process improvement
projects - we are now focusing on preventing and resolving conflicts and
promoting positive labor-management relations. The goal of IBPS in the
Library is to: strengthen relationships, resolve problems, build desirable
skills in all staff, improve communication and understanding of interests
and decrease the number of grievances and disciplinary actions, and build
a better working environment based on the Library’s values of integrity,
respect, excellence, creativity, flexibility and open communication.
