Librarian in Residence Program
Pamela Mann
Pamela Mann
began at Yale on January 22, 2001 as the second Mellon supported Librarian in
Residence, after obtaining her MLS from the University of South Carolina and a
Masters degree in Latin American Studies. Pamela chose to spend her entire two
years in Research Services and Collections where she has been an active contributor
to reference services, instruction, collection development, and a number of committees.
Areas of collection development included Library and Information Science, Women's
Studies, Gay and Lesbian Studies, and the review of certain selection tools in
the Latin American Collection. The committees included Service Quality Improvement,
Reference Services Group, and SCOPA. Pamela also served as one of a few tour guides
for Sterling Memorial Library.
Although Pamela's term was scheduled to end
in January 2003, she was extended to December, 2003.
