The following schedule has been established for submission and review of recommendations for promotion in rank for the 2008/2009 academic year.

September 2007: Eligible candidates for promotion to LII and LIII are contacted by Library Human Resources.

September 2007: The Promotion Review Committee will be appointed by the University Librarian.

October 2007: Orientation meetings for candidates, supervisors, and all others interested.

December 12, 2007: Date for submission of Promotion Review Request Form and list of five suggested evaluators.

January 8, 2008: Deadline for submission of letters of evaluation.

January 18, 2008: Deadline for submission of all required documentation to Library Human Resources, for inclusion in the candidate's Promotion Review file.

January 2008: The Promotion Review Committee will review candidates for promotion to LII.

February/March 2008: The Promotion Review Committee reviews all submitted requests on promotion.

April 2008: The Promotion Review Committee completes its review of all requests and submits its recommendations on each request to the University Librarian.

April 2008: The University Librarian consults with the appropriate Associate University Librarian prior to making the final decision.

June 2008: Letters will be sent to librarians at the same time as merit salary decision letters are sent at the end of the month.
