A new collaborative home for the Kline Science Library, Social Science Library, and ITS StatLab providing state-of-the-art information services in a technology-rich environment.

In 2008, the Yale Corporation approved the expansion of Yale College through the construction of two new residential colleges. These will occupy the area immediately to the south of Ingalls rink, requiring the demolition of the existing structures, including 140 Prospect Street, the current home of the Social Science Library and the ITS StatLab. It is planned that these two organizations will collocate with the Kline Science Library in a renovated space in the Kline Biology Tower. The new, merged entity, tentatively named the Center for Science and Social Science Information (CSSSI), will open in January 3rd 2012 and meet the growing needs for a modern information center serving the Sciences and Social Sciences.
