July 7, 2004
SML, Room 207

Members Present:  Diana Quinones, Kelly Shand, Kathleen Burns, Mary Beth Bean, Mary Bradway, Bernadette Cioffi, Lolly Lee, Suzanne Mirabile, Ruth Carruth, and Cesar Zapata..

Members Absent:  Amanda Patrick, Stephen Yearl, Stephen Cohen.

Meeting convened at 12:00 p.m.

Welcome to the new members and an introduction for everyone. Diana gave an overview of what LiSA does throughout the year mentioning such events as the Holiday party, the New Staff Receptions, Field Day, Nooks and Crannies tours and Weight Watchers.

The staff art exhibition will be re-instated this year. Blood drives will continue as well.

Diana announced that volunteers will be sought at the next meeting-July 20, 2004- for webmaster, chair-elect, and secretary.

Kathleen Burns tentatively volunteered for webmaster pending expert user status.

Diana encouraged everyone to volunteer as sub-committee chairs for events throughout the year.

Field Day will be held at the Pagoda Pavilion at Lighthouse Point on Saturday July 31, 2004. A site check was suggested after Bernadette raised remembered concerns about the grills from last year. Members of the committee are asked to arrive early and help set up. Also volunteers will be needed for clean-up, game co-ordination, and cooking.

Diana has been in contact with Ferraro’s for the food.

Kelly Shand has some water and soda from previous events that can be used for Field Day.

The question of who has the bubbles from last year was raised.

We need a form for permission to use photos taken at this event.

Mary Beth Bean raised the question why meetings are at noon. Kathleen Burns asked if meetings could be changed. The committee was amenable to change if there were too many conflicts among members. Diana Quinones was agreeable to stagger meetings longer than 2 weeks if there are no pressing issues.

Lolly Lee asked if e-mails reminders are sent. Which they are.

Bernadette Cioffi suggested more e-mails be sent for Field Day.

Meeting adjourned 12:30 pm Tuesday July 7, 2004

Next meeting: Tuesday, July 20, 2004; place TBD
