The date will be October 24 th , from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, in the Sterling Lecture Hall. We have about 45 employees to introduce during this reception (7 staff won't attend and 5 staff did not respond yet), we are planning to order less food since there was so much left over at the last reception. Catering will be done by Yale Catering. We decided to order two and half sheet cake from local bakery "Chestnut Food", carrot cake and chocolate cake will be ordered at this event. We will provide coffee, soda and tea (no red juice and wine). Bernadette will handle creating the nametags and getting sufficient nametag holders. Ruth will bring cake knife, get carnations and basket of flowers from Shaws, LiSA members will help for setup and cleanup. Kevin will make speech and will send reminder e-mail out next Monday, Friday and the day before this event via Yulib, also will be posted on some department Bulletin Boards.
HOLIDAY PARTY :
The holiday party will be held on Dec. 14 in the Beinecke, 4-6. Patrick reported that he will hire student musicians to play jazz music at the party. We will use the same caterers as last year.
