April 20, 2006
SML Machine City

Members present: Ruth Carruth, Lolly Lee, Patrick Butler, Cesar Zapata, Maryetta Russell, Susan Tucker, Andrew Gray, Pam Clifford, David McMahon, Aubrey Novak.

Members Absent: Bernadette Cioffi, Tara Kennedy, Mike Rush, Kevin Glick.

Meeting convened at 2:00 PM.

NEW STAFF RECEPTION:
The date will be April 24 th , from 3-5 pm, in the Sterling Lecture Hall. We have about 17 new employees to introduce during this reception, (5-6 staff won't attend), we are planning to order less food because we expect about 100 people (approximately) including new staff and supervisors to attend this occasion. Catering will be done by "Cranberries Catering & Café." Susan and Maryetta will chair for this event. The menu will include: cheese, fresh fruit, crackers, cupcakes etc. Fruit punch, coffee will also be served. Carnations, nametag are also needed in this event. LiSA members will help for setup and cleanup. Aubrey and Andrew will volunteer to take photographs.

COMMITTEE FAIR:
The Communication Committee Fair will take place on June 15 from 2:30-4:30 pm in Sterling Lecture Hall. LiSA committee will co-sponsor for the fair. The budget for the fair is $425, including approximately $104 for setup and breakdown of the room. We expect 12 committees to join the fair. The LiSA will provide refreshment, paper goods and possibly balloons etc. Tara and Lolly are in charge of this. Punch and cookies will also be provided at the fair.

BLOOD DRIVE:
Pam will chair for this event, the date will be July 25, from 10:00-3:30, Two rooms (122 & 124) at Law school will be used for blood drive this time, more detail will discuss next meeting.
