June 29, 2006
SML Courtyard

Members present: New members and continuing second year members introduced themselves,
and outgoing members were addressed.

Meeting convened at 2:00 PM.

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS :
Outgoing Chair Ruth Carruth spoke of overall organization of the committee, introduced David as new chair of LiSA, Mike Rush as the LiSA web master, and need to fill Co-Chair and secretary positions.

2005/2006 REVIEW :
Chair spoke of past projects including Indonesian Tsunami Relief, Hurricane Katrina Relief, Columbus House Book Drive , United Way Drive, Food Drive , Blood Drive , New Staff Reception, Holiday Party & Gift Raffle, Nooks & Crannies tours.

BLOOD DRIVE:
Announcement made that volunteers are needed to assist in providing snacks and ushering of participants. For more information contact pamela.clifford@yale.edu.

FIELD DAY, JULY 22, 2006:
Location was discussed, Lighthouse Park vs. Easy Rock Park . Some past logistical problems experienced at Lighthouse Park due to Parking fees, and commute distance. Need for lifeguard, catering and activity planning.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL:
Date TBD. New budgeting details were discussed, Maryetta volunteered to serve as point person due to past experience. Ice Cream will be provided via Ashley's Ice Cream on York St. Staff Arts & Craft exhibit discussed to be time coordinated with Ice Cream Social.

OTHER NEWS:
Upcoming Nooks & Crannies tours were discussed in brief; future tours will be refined to "cultural icons" of the University.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:45.

The group then proceeded to tour the LiSA supply and storage closet.
