Library Staff Association Meeting Minutes December 4, 2008

Nooks and Crannies tours

Historical society tour went very well and had high turnout. NHHS would like to continue doing these tours.

Holiday party

We will be having one more meeting before the holiday party. Meeting will be on December 11 at 2pm, gathering at the L&B room.

Catering: The elegant cheese platter is extremely expensive.
            Modifications to the menu from Yale catering need to happen.
            Alcohol will be provided by catering.
LiSA members should bring dishes for the party to boost food supply. Complaints last year due to a perceived lack of enough food.
Biodegradable utensils and plates will not be used as they incur an extra cost. Soli will mention this at the next Green Team meeting.
Kathy will meet the band on party day
Santa needs include camera, suit (rent or buy option).
Holiday movies, will ask Melissa Van Tine where she got them last year.

Schedule of party day
3pm, decoration of L&B. Laura Tatum and two other people present ONLY.
3.30pm, move furniture. We will have four people sign up for this task. This is also the time when other people helping with setup can come in to the L&B room.

Raffle: We need to finish contacting businesses for prizes.

Coat racks are needed. Andrew will look around Sterling for these.

Signs need to be made directing people to the L&B room as well as to nearby bathrooms. Barbara has done this.

Raffle tickets distributed for sale.

At 12/11 meeting we will look at the room and make final plans.

December 18 meeting will be cancelled. Next meeting will be January 15, 2009.
