Archival Storage

• Archival storage device of 7 terabyte tape robot for storage digital image masters; operated collaboratively by MIP and Central Computing Services

• Procedures for migration of master images have been tested using a smaller tape robot as a prototype

• Between the projects in the University Library and the imaging projects supported by MIP there are approximately 5 terabytes (approximately 100,000) digital image masters that need to be transferred to archival storage
