The prizes each carry a cash award of $500.

On March 19, Stephen Cohen and Diane Kaplan served, with area teachers, media specialists, and graduate students, as judges in this year's s New Haven District History Day competition held at Wilbur Cross High School. Middle and high school students created projects (exhibits, documentaries, performances, and papers) to explore a topic in history and relate it to this year's theme, Communication in History: The Key to Understanding."
