Seventeenth Century

The style of handwriting changed over time. Though this 1686 bond from the English Miscellaneous Manuscripts Collection is neatly written, it is difficult to decipher unless one is familiar with the style of the script for this period. The top paragraph is in Latin, and the document is a handwritten form.
