On the call slip for manuscript collections you will need to supply the manuscript group number. This will be found either in the online record or on the title page of the finding aid for each collection.

The accession number or date is not always required, but it is essential for collections where there has been an addition.

The series number is occasionally needed when each series begins with box #1.

Because we retrieve manuscript material by box, researchers must be careful to use the box number rather than the folder number on the call slip.
