The Cowles Reference Center is the entrance to the Manuscripts and Archives Department, which is located in Sterling Memorial Library just inside the Wall Street door. Here you will find basic tools for researching our manuscript and archival collections and members of the reference staff who are available to assist you with your research.

This center was renovated through the generosity of the family of William H. Cowles, 3rd, Yale Class of 1953, and was dedicated in December 1996. We currently have five workstations available to researchers for access to relevant databases.
