Cramped Walter Lippmann, a twentieth-century commentator, drafted his syndicated newspaper column, "Today and Tomorrow," in longhand. A complete set of his columns is included in the Walter Lippmann Papers. His penmanship provides a challenge because of its minuscule size. The column here, "Wake Up, America," was written on December 8, 1941, in response to the bombing of Pearl Harbor. |
