Many documents are written in a foreign language. This is a letter written in Yiddish from the Anna Strunsky Walling Papers. Walling was a socialist, author, and friend of Jack London. This letter was written by her mother in February 1906 from her home in San Francisco. There is some material in the collection that relates to the San Francisco earthquake in April 1906.
