Due to resource constraints, Manuscripts and Archives must reduce the services it offers to the University community:

• We can no longer accept accessions of records of non-permanent value. For information about records storage options, please consult the TR&S web site: http://www.yale.edu/trs/storage/Storage.htm


• From March, 2009 to June 30, 2010 we will only accession 500 containers of permanent paper records from University offices across campus. Once we have reached the limit of 500 containers, we will suspend accessioning operations until July, 2010. If our resources increase during the next sixteen months, we will inform the University community of our ability to recommence accessioning operations.


• We can no longer accept accessions of electronic records.


• We will no longer be able to deliver supplies or pick up records from offices. Supplies can still be purchased, but must be picked up from the Archives by the offices. Records approved for accessioning by the University Archives should be delivered by the offices to the Archives on Tuesdays only.


• The service we provide to retrieve records from the Archives for offices will still be available.
