This letter by Muzio Clementi, dated March 12, 1802, is addressed to his brother. In it he discusses the shipping of a piano manufactured by his company. Clementi, besides being an accomplished composer, was an established piano maker. The beginning reads: "Carissimo fratello, Alla fine ho il piacere di annunziavi che il piano e forte, eccellente strumento di nostra manufattura è partito dal porto di Londra per Livorno..."
