Near East Collection: Acknowledgments

Acknowledgments

This web site is part of the Yale Library efforts in support of Near Eastern, Islamic, and Arabic studies at Yale. The site was created by Mr. Simon Samoeil, the curator for the Near East Collection, with the assistance of Dr. Randa Baligh, a former graduate student at Yale in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. Dr. Baligh assisted in designing the site, converting text to HTML, and digitizing graphics. Mr. Matthew Beacom, a Catalog Librarian at Yale, provided valuable advice and technical help throughout the project. This website was updated and redesigned by Mary Tao in the Spring of 2000 and by Dmytro Glazkov in the Summer of 2002. Since then, Dr. Zhengming Fu, a former graduate student at Yale in the Department of Electrical Engineering, maintained the site until the end of 2007. In 2008, Xiangtao Liu, a doctoral candidate in the Program of Applied Mathematics at Yale University, redesigned and updated the Near East Collection website.
