Middle Eastern and Islamic Cuisine Simon Samoeil, Curator of the Near East Collection, led a guided tour of the "Middle Eastern and Islamic Cuisine" exhibition, on display in the Sterling Corridor from February 1 through April 19, for a group of educators from various institutions of higher education around Connecticut. The guided tour was part of the workshop "Sweet & Savory: Teaching to the Senses at the Crossroads of Civilizations," organized by PIER (Programs in International Educational Resources) and the Council on Middle East Studies at The MacMillan Center.
