Call Slip Documentation (SysAdmin)

 

1. Add Call Slip Group

 

Sys Admin > System > Call Slip Print Group > Call Slip Definitions > Add Call Slip Group

 

 

 

-Enter Call Slip Group Code and Group Name for each location participating in Eli Express.


-Open Call Slip Values Tab.

 

 

-Check the “In Transit for Hold” to destination location radio button. All Call Slip Groups must have this radio button checked for the “Pick Up At” dropdown to appear in the OPAC.

 

-Enter the appropriate (Circ Happening) Location and Default Item Type from the dropdowns.

 

-Enter a value for the Archive Period and Expire Period. Needs to be discussed.

 

-Check the “Include Patron Info in Call Slip Display” box. Needs to be discussed

 

-Check the “Set Cataloging Review Status on New Items” box. Needs to be discussed

-Check the “Set Circ Review Status on New Items” box. Needs to be discussed


 

 

2. Add Call Slip Rule

 

Sys Admin > System > Call Slip Print Group > Call Slip Rules > Add Rule

 

 

For each location that is eligible to be sent via Eli Express:

 

-Select a Call Slip Group name from the “Call Slip Print Group” drop down.

 

            -Select the desired location code from the  “Holdings Location” drop down.

 

            -Click Save.

 


3. To Allow Patron Groups to place Call Slips

 

3a. Sys Admin > Circ > Circ Policy Definitions

 

 

Any Circ Group that will be using Call Slips for Eli Express, needs to be set up to allow the appropriate Patron Groups to place Call Slips. To do this:

           

-Select a Circ Group and click “Edit Circ Group”.

 

 

-Click on the “Patron Tab”, and choose a Patron Group eligible to place Call Slip requests.

 

            -Ensure that the “Place Call Slip Requests in Library” box is checked.

            -Click “OK”.


            3b. Sys Admin > Circ > Policy Matrix Definitions

 

 

            -Highlight the Circ Group you wish to view and click “Select Circ Group”.

 

            -Click on the Matrix tab.

-Choose the appropriate “Patron Group”/“Item type” combination, and click “Edit Policy”.

 

 

-Ensure that the “Call Slip” box in the top right of the screen is checked.

-Click Save.
