Demo Schedule

GENERAL DAILY SCHEDULE

EX LIBRIS

ENDEAVOR

THE DEMOS

*When:

Ex Libris, Jan 22-26

Endeavor, Jan 29-Feb 2

*Where:  Due to the construction related noise the presentations are not being held in the library lecture hall. Unfortunately, our alternate locations are not as large as the SML lecture hall so space is at a premium. For this reason I have refused requests for non-library staff to participate in the large presentations. Instead, separate sessions for non-library staff about patron oriented modules (OPAC, patron empowerment, etc.) are scheduled.

Jan 22 BRBL lecture hall, Jan 23 Peabody auditorium, Jan 24 BRBL lecture hall, Jan 25 Peabody auditorium, Jan 26 SML 409

Jan 29, SML 409, Jan 30 BRBL lecture hall, Jan 31 Learning Center (LL1), Feb 1 McDougal Center (HGS 119), Feb 2 Peabody Auditorium.

*What:  The demo weeks include four types of events:

1) Large group presentations to open to all library staff about the major LMS modules (OPAC, CIRC, CAT, ACQ, Course Reserve, ILL, etc.).

2) Small group hands-on sessions following each large-group presentation for the Evaluators only.

3) Side-bar discussions and small group presentations about reports, support for non-roman scripts, data conversion, systems/operations and contract issues for the Evaluators only.

4) Short presentations about the public-oriented functions (OPAC, patron empowerment) to non-library staff. One presentation is for faculty and students. The second is for staff from other departments (AM&T), additional faculty and a few non-Yale people such as our Sun representative.
