Holly announced that she and Carol are meeting Thursday, September 7 at 2:30
at Kline for a demonstration of Prospero. All Group members are invited.
2. Criteria selected from the Readers, Records, and Reports Criteria Work
Groups final reports were reviewed, and decisions were made into which sections
of our Demonstration Situation document to incorporate them. These additions
will need to be made to the RFS document as well.
3. There was a discussion of how to construct the Demonstration Situation
report from our existing System Evaluation Worksheet. This is the procedure
Copy the text from the "Criteria" column of your System Evaluation Worksheet
section(s) into the "Situation Description" column of the worksheet(s).
In the "Situation Name" column, add a descriptive name or phrase to identify
the nature of each of the numbered criteria in the "Situation Description"
Add comments in the "Desired Outcome or Objective" column if the purpose
of the activity isn't clear.
Indicate "Yes" or "No" in the "In Orbis?" column to indicate whether the
function/situation is one that is accommodated currently in NOTIS-based Orbis.
If the situation is one that was identified by one of the Criteria Work Groups,
enter the rating it was given in the "Rating" column. If the situation appeared
among more than one Work Group's criteria, report the highest rating it received
(Essential being the highest, then Important, then Desirable)
Leave the columns labeled "Checked?" and "Notes" blank.
Send the completed template back to Sue, retaining its current name, and
bring printed copies to the Group's Sept.13 meeting.
