Beginning Friday, November 19, work will begin on the Cross Campus space [above the Library]
to investigate the state of the underground building's roof membrane as part of the renovation
planning.   This work will pose no safety hazards for occupants of the building, though there
might be modest amounts of noise associated with cutting holes in the upper portion of the roof
slab.   Staff and readers might expect short periods of noise to occur on Monday, November 22
and possibly Tuesday, November 23. This work is scheduled during Thanksgiving recess week to 
minimize any inconvenience to people working or studying in the CCL.   Please direct any
