| The
Public Service Management Council (PSMC) is charged to define the Library's public
service program and provide the forum for communication between public services
provide for managing the program with particular attention to how we allocate
resources, respond to budget changes, and identify resources for new initiatives.
Specifically, the PSMC provides managers of public services departments with a
forum in which to identify and review policies, procedures, and funding that affect
public services units across the Library, to identify users service needs when
viewed across the library units, and to position the Library to better respond
to any deficiencies in public service. The Council will provide managers of public
services a forum in which to discuss issues facing management of public services
in the Library generally and to share expertise and resources to resolve similar
problems. |
