WHAT IS THE ENGLISH SHORT TITLE CATALOGUE?

(Previously known as the Eighteenth-century Short Title Catalogue, ESTC was enhanced and renamed in 1994, with the addition of nearly 75,000 records for works published before 1701. The file continues to be updated and expanded.)
