Sorting: Help

The Title Lists produced by most searches are sorted alphabetically by the title of each item in the list. Use the box labeled Sort results by: to change this order.  You can re-sort the items so that they are listed alphabetically by Title or Author, or chronologically by Date (earliest to latest) or Date (latest to earliest). Click on the down arrow at the right of the box to display the sorting options, highlight the desired option with the mouse, and click on it to select it:

Exception:
Searching by Ranked Keyword produces Title Lists which are sorted by relevance. This means that the items in the list are "ranked" in order of importance to your search, with the most important items first. You can change this order by using the Sort results by: box.  Note that the options in the box include "Relevance" in addition to Title, Author, Date (earliest to latest), and Date (latest to earliest):
