Course Reserves: Help

A Course Reserve search allows you to see a list of items your instructor has put on reserve for a particular class. This list will give you the call numbers, locations and status (available or checked out) for books that are on reserve.

To search for items on reserve:

1. From the Simple Search screen, click on the Course Reserve tab.
2. Choose one or more drop down menus (Instructor, Department, or Course), and select items from the menus either by scrolling to the appropriate entry, or by typing the first letter of the entry for which you are looking, and scrolling from there.
3. Click the Search button.

Regardless of the type of search you did (Instructor, Department, or Course), your search results will display a list of titles in alphabetical order, and show the Department and Course for which they are on reserve.

When you have found the reserve reading you need, be sure to write down its location, course, and call number. Every reserve location has its own loan and shelving policies. If you need assistance, please contact the Reserve Staff at the appropriate library.
