Yale University is planning a comprehensive renovation of the
Cross Campus Library (CCL) and parts of the basement in the Sterling Memorial Library (specifically the "Machine City" area).

   Activities to plan and to prepare the Phase 2a areas will greatly increase during the 2005-2006 academic year. Construction is scheduled to begin after Commencement in May 2006. The reopening of CCL is slated to occur by the start of the 2007 fall semester.
