Moving the Cross Campus Library collection into Sterling Memorial Library (May 10-17, 2006)
The
movers protected the path for the moves with plywood on
the
floors.

Corrugated
cardboard protects the exhibit cases and walls
along the move
path.

The
Exhibit Coridor is protected for the move.

The
L & B Room is also protected for the move of furniture.

Shelves
in the Sterling Memorial Library - Floors 1, 1M and 1MB
are
emptied and ready to house the CCL collection.

Jonas
Baker, Library Staff member, removes books in Cross
Campus
Library and places them in sequence on moving
trucks.

The
Cross Campus Library shelves look deserted after the
collection
has been moved to the Sterling Memorial Library.

Many
of the Cross Campus Library shelves will be recycled for
use
in other projects, including the Arts Library Swing Space
and the East Asia Collection Renovation.

Staff
from William Meyer Movers roll the full trucks of books to
Sterling Memorial Library and return empty carts to Cross
Campus Library.

The
mighty Meyers Movers roll full book trucks two at a time,
through
corridors to the Sterling Memorial stocks.

Elevators
were used to move carts as well.

Library Staff member, Mike Paten, unloads books and shelves
them in correct shelf order on designated shelves in
Sterling
Memorial Library.
