Cloak
room demolition is nearly complete.

The
heavy demolition work is basically finished to create
the space for the stairs and elevator in the Sterling
Memorial Library nave. Much cleanup and removal of
rubble are on this week's schedule.

Rubble
is lifted by buckets from the basement and
wheeled out by wheel barrels through the High Street
entrance.

Looking
down into the basement level, the outline of
the curved foundation for the new stairwell can be seen.

Looking
up, the open space above the arch
shows the removed cloak room ceiling.

Two
fans exhaust dust from the construction site.
