The
Sterling Memorial Library stairwell and interior spaces
continue to unfold (cont)

Gray
slate with lighter stone borders cover the
floor of the study lounge/cafe and portions of
the concourse level.

This
image captures the variety of wall surfaces that
will transform the look of the Cross Campus Library
interior. The photograph was taken near the reshelving
area.

The
wood enclosure for the photocopy and printing
machines in the lower level of the Cross Campus
Library will be an attractive area.

Nearby
offices are taking shape for the Technology
Troubleshooting Services and the Self-Service Scanning
area. They will contribute to the Collaborative Learning
Center in the lower level of the Cross Campus Library.

These
individual study rooms illustrate some of the
oak millwork that should change the old notion of
"weenie-bins" in the Cross Campus Library.

These
individual study rooms will be fully enclosed
and will contain custom-built work surfaces,
lighting and ports for power and data. Yet to be
added, glass doors will allow for privacy for those
within, while also allowing persons outside to
identify unoccupied study spaces.

Eight
group study rooms, like this one, have a
two-storey brick wall, the upper half of which
will support custom designed tapestries.
