A hands-on workshop in the Beinecke Library on using Zotero to track and cite your research efficiently. Zotero is a great tool for saving citations and creating footnotes automatically, as well as for organizing your sources, taking notes on them, and keeping track of all your files. In this workshop, we will be taking a look at how to use Zotero for doing research in the humanities, covering:

- Basic features: how to get citations for books and articles quickly
- How to automatically save PDF's and attach other files
- How to tag, organize and annotate your sources
- How to back-up your files
- How to create footnotes/bibliographies automatically in any major style format (Chicago, APA, etc.)
- How to use Zotero for archival research

We will be using original material from the Beinecke's collections to practice working with archival sources like letters, photographs and unpublished documents. For those who are getting ready to embark on a dissertation or other large research project, this workshop is for you!
