American Broadsides and Ephemera, Series I contains broadsides printed between 1820 and 1900 and pieces of ephemera printed between 1760 and 1900. The subjects range from contemporary accounts of the Civil War, unusual occurrences and natural disasters to official government proclamations, tax bills and town meeting reports and pieces of ephemera that include clipper ship sailing cards, early trade cards, bill heads, theater and music programs, stock certificates, menus and invitations documenting civic, political and private celebrations.

Avalon Project contains digital historical documents relevant to the fields of law, economics, politics, diplomacy and government.

Commentary Digital Archive is a magazine with analysis of politics, religion, foreign affairs, social policy, culture, and the arts, as well as for outstanding reviews of current books.

CQ Library contains four of Congressional Quarterly's (CQ) publications:

  • CQ Weekly: U.S. Congress: status of bills, votes and amendments, floor and committee activity, and backroom maneuvering.
  • CQ Researcher covers the most current and controversial issues of the day with complete summaries, insights and bibliographies.
  • Politics in America provides detailed information on members of Congress and their districts and states. The profiles provide CQ's analysis of personalities, political styles, legislative agendas, political ambitions, and reputations of members at home and on Capitol Hill. It also includes information on campaign finance, partisan caucuses, and standing committees.
  • Washington Information Directory provides capsule descriptions of and contact information for federal agencies; governors and other state officials; U.S. and foreign diplomats; nongovernmental organizations; policy groups, foundations, and institutions; and Congress.

Declassified Documents Reference System is a collection includes post World War II documents which have been declassified through FOIA and/or executive orders from the National Archives, the CIA and Presidential Libraries.

Digital National Security Archive contains declassified documents that led to policy decisions.

Government Periodicals Universe (GPI) provides information on the U.S. government's most important periodicals.

GPO Access provides online access to full text congressional and executive agency documentation.

Historic Government Publications from World War II is a collection of World War II publications published by the U.S. government in support of the war effort.

Lexis-Nexis Primary Sources in U.S. History includes Access to African American Studies, Access to Presidential Studies, and Access to Women's Studies and Guides to Microform Collections. The subject specific modules provide a range of sources, including autobiographies, manuscripts, government documents, photographs and images, reference and scholarly articles, and speeches.

National Journal Group's Policy Central includes:
