Arts and Humanities Citation Index

Arts & Humanities Search is the online equivalent to the printed Arts & Humanities Citation Index. The database indexes articles from arts and humanities journals, plus relevant articles from social science and science journals. Over 1,000,000 records make up the database, with some 700 additional records giving the preferred form of cited authors' names. The database covers 1980 to the present and is updated weekly.

Black Studies Center
A combination of three resources for research and teaching in Black Studies: Schomburg Studies on the Black Experience, International Index to Black Periodicals (IIBP), and The Chicago Defender. This fully cross-searchable database to Black Studies includes scholarly essays, recent periodicals, and historical newspaper articles.

The Black Studies Database
The electronic version of the Kaiser Index to Black Periodicals, includes citations drawn from journals, magazines, newspapers, newsletters, pamphlets and reports relevant to the Black experience from 1948-1986. Citations in the Kaiser Index come from publications relevant to the Black experience and African Diaspora.

Black Thought and Culture
Is a collection of non-fiction writings by major black leaders in North America.

Chicano Database
Identifies all types of material on Mexican-American topics and about Chicanos. Updated quarterly, the Chicano Database covers at least 1967 to the present. Records added since 1992 have expanded its scoop to include the broader Latino experience, including Puerto Ricans, Cuban Americans, and Central American immigrants. The Chicano Database also includes the Spanish Speaking Mental Health Database, covering psychological, sociological, and educational literature.

eHRAF Collection of Ethnography
A cross-cultural database containing descriptive information on the cultures of the world. The full-text materials are subject-indexed at the paragraph-level for precise retrieval of information on all aspects of cultural and social life. These materials are relevant to the various social science disciplines as well as the humanities and health sciences.

Ethnic NewsWatch
Full text database containing newspapers and periodicals published by ethnic and minority presses of the Americas.

Film Index International
Includes cast lists, summaries, and citations to articles about films and persons.

Handbook of Latin American Studies
Annotated bibliography of works on Latin America covering various fields in both the humanities and social sciences.

Hispanic American Periodicals Index

JSTOR is a project of The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation for development of a digital library in support of the arts and sciences. It consists of journal titles in the areas of anthropology, Asian studies, ecology, economics, education, finance, history, mathematics, philosophy, political science, population studies, and sociology. These journals are fully searchable.

Periodicals Index Online
An index to the contents of periodicals in the humanities and social sciences. Every article is indexed by title, author, and PCI heading. The scope is international, including journals in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and other western languages. There is no print equivalent to the online index.
