- "The June L Mazer Lesbian Archives is dedicated
exclusively to preserving lesbian history and is committed to gathering
and preserving materials by and about lesbians of all classes, ethnicities,
races and experiences. Included are personal letters and scrapbooks,
lesbian artwork, manuscripts, books, records, newspapers, magazines,
photographs, videotapes, flyers, papers of lesbian organizations, private
papers, and even clothing, such as softball uniforms from the 1940's
and 50's."

- "The Lesbian Herstory Archives houses the world's
largest collection of lesbian material including books and periodicals.
Thousands of lesbians have donated personal collections of letters,
diaries, and photographs to LHA; others have contributed clippings for

or offered lesbian artifacts such as t-shirts, buttons, art objects,
taped television shows, and oral histories."

institution which houses the world's largest research library on Gay,
