A directory of German and Austrian libraries; volumes prior to 1990 place particular emphasis on West Germany.. The first half of the directory is arranged alphabetically by city or town, and gives entries for the major libraries in each. In addition to address and names of personnel, numbers of volumes in various categories, details of budget and areas of specialization are included. The two other major parts of the directory consist of a directory of librarians and a section of statistics.
