A comprehensive catalog of the holdings of over 800 research libraries in the United States and Canada. An author catalog, it contains records, with location information, for books published anywhere in the world before 1956 but now held in the United States or Canada. Over 25% of the records in this printed set do not appear in Eureka or WorldCat.
Nineteenth century fiction
Nineteenth-Century Fiction represents the Victorian literary canon and reflects the landmarks of the period from Gothic horror to social satire, from moral earnestness to aestheticism, from masculine adventure to feminist polemic. It also contains examples of other genres or sub-genres such as historical fiction, the 'novel of ideas', children's stories and the 'New Woman' novel. In addition to the better-known novels, the collection covers many neglected or little-known works, most of them out of print or difficult to find.
English short title catalog (ESTC)
The English Short Title Catalogue describes English or English-language letterpress materials published before 1801. It contains records for items of all types published in Great Britain or its colonies in any language or in English anywhere in the world from 1473 to 1800. Updated daily. It's comprised of entries drawn from the following original printed sources covering the period 1475-1700 (in order by time period covered) and of continuing additions to the Eighteenth-Century Short Title Catalog project which is managed through this site.

This standard bibliography is a continuation of Pollard and Redgrave for the period 1641 through 1700. Yale owns much of the material included, either in its original printed form or as part of the microfilm collections, Early English books, 1473-1640 (SML, Microform Room Film S618) or Early English books, 1641-1700 (SML, Microform Room Film S2663).

Early English Books Online (EEBO) contains digital facsimile page images and searchable text of virtually every work listed in either Wing or Pollard and Redgrave, including the complete Thomason Tract Collection of books, pamphlets, newspapers, and manuscripts issued between 1640 and 1661. The digital images have been created from the microfilm copies contained in Early English Books, 1473-1640 and Early English Books, 1641-1700.
