- ACLS
History E-Book Project
- The History E-Book Project is an electronic publishing initiative
for books of high quality in the field of history. Approximately 500 full-text
books were included in the initial launch of the project in September 2002.
Texts are fully searchable and can also be browsed by title, author, and subject.
- Early
English Books Online (EEBO)
- Contains complete page images for 125,000 titles listed in
Pollard & Redgrave's Short-Title Catalogue (1475-1640) and Wing's
Short-Title Catalogue (1641-1700). Selected works are also available as
fully searchable text files.
- Ebrary
- A collection of thousands of online full text books in a variety
of subject areas such as the arts, business/economics, computers, cooking,
history, literary criticism, science, and travel. Full text content can be
viewed and searched online without charge after installing the ebrary Reader,
available from tne Web site.
- Gutenberg-e
- A collection of electronic books that have undergone an academic
review process by historians brought together by the American Historical Association.
The books represent a range of subjects, including Africa, colonial Latin
America, and South Asia; Europe before 1800; and military history and history
of foreign relations. These digital monographs also provide extensive documentation,
hyperlinks to supplementary literature, images, music, video, and links to
related Web sites.
