Access Arts & Humanities Search online
An international interdisciplinary index to the literature of the arts and humanities, indexing the contents of about 6,100 journals, covering about 1,000 fully and about 5,100 selectively. Those selectively covered are titles in the sciences and social sciences indexed by Science Citation Index and Social Sciences Citation Index, from which articles of possible interest in the arts and humanities are drawn. Published in three parts:
* Citation Index (through which you can find what later articles have cited earlier books or articles)
* Source Index (an author index)
* Permuterm Subject Index (which offers keyword access to the titles of articles)
The database covers 1980 to the present, and the print volumes go back to 1975.

Coverage is identical for all formats, although the online version of the database does not include abstracts for dissertations prior to 1981. Issued in three parts after 1969

Access Historical Abstracts online
Contains annotated references to books, articles, and dissertations on the history of the world from 1450 to the present (excluding the United States and Canada). Indexes over 2,000 journals published throughout the world. In addition to key historical journals from virtually every major country, Historical Abstracts covers hundreds of journals in the social sciences and humanities that are of special interest to researchers and students of history.
All abstracts are written in English. Article citations carry abstracts of 75-120 words or annotations of one or two sentences. The online version also includes in-process English-language article entries (those entries for which abstract, subject terms, and chronologies are not yet available) prior to their inclusion in the print version. In addition to articles, each year Historical Abstracts includes approximately 3,000 citations to historical books and abstracts of dissertations of particular interest for historical research. The electronic database currently covers volume year 1967 to the present. The print volumes go back to 1955.
In 1971, Historical Abstracts split into two sections:
* Historical Abstracts. Part A: Modern History Abstracts, 1450- 1914
* Historical Abstracts. Part B: Twentieth Century Abstracts, 1914-

The History of Science and Technology database (HST) describes journal articles, conference proceedings, books, book reviews, and dissertations in the history of science and technology and allied historical fields. It comprises three bibliographies: the ISIS Current Bibliography of the History of Science*, 1975-present; the Current Bibliography in the History of Technology, 1987-present; and the Bibliografia Italiana di Storia della Scienza. Updated annually, HST contains more than 119,000 records.

The IBZ is an "international bibliography of periodical literature covering all fields of knowledge." It indexes periodical articles in all subject areas from around the world in German, French and English. The CD-ROM and online versions cover 1982/83-present. Coverage of the printed volumes, including earlier titles, goes back to 1896.* The print volumes are divided into three parts after 1971: A: Verzeichnis der berücksichtigen Zeitschriften; B: Verzeichnis der Zeitschriftenartikel nach Schlagworten; C: Verzeichnis der Zeitschriftenartikel nach Verfassen.

PCI Web is an electronic index to the contents of thousands of periodicals in the humanities and social sciences, from their first issues to 1990/1991. Every item or title on the table of contents pages is indexed. The scope is international, including journals in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and other Western languages. PCI Web currently indexes over six million articles in 1,595 journals. Every year, it adds records for more than two million more articles. It will grow to encompass 3,500 journals and fifteen million individual articles.

The database includes approximately 250,000 records detailing most of the books and articles on these subjects published between 1901 and 1992, as well as many published before 1901.

WilsonWeb replaces the Expanded Academic Index which was available through Orbis. There is no print equivalent of this index.
