Slated to contain approximately 40,000 book records and 64,000 review records, as of November 2004 the database contains 10,000 records for authors A-I, covering the years 1957-2004.

Available online to the Yale community Book Review Digest cites and provides excerpts of reviews of current fiction and nonfiction books that have been published in the English language (including translations of works into English). An abstract of the book is also provided. Approximately 100 leading periodicals published in the United States, Canada, and Great Britain are covered. The online version covers the years 1983 to the present and the database is updated monthly. The printed volumes begin in 1905.

Available online H-Net maintains an extensive network of listservs devoted to research in the humanities and social sciences. H-Net Reviews is "the web-based access tool to the online reviews published by H-Net's discussion networks." Select Books. There are numerous search options, including by publisher, ISBN, and most recent reviews.

Medieval Review
Available online Since 1993, The Medieval Review (TMR; formerly the Bryn Mawr Medieval Review) has been publishing reviews of current work in all areas of Medieval Studies, a field it interprets as broadly as possible. The electronic medium allows for very rapid publication of reviews, and provides a computer searchable archive of past reviews.
