The
MLA Browse Index
The
Browse Index feature lets you look up a word or phrase in an index
to check its usefulness before searching.
Browse
Index lets you
Verify that a word or phrase exists in an index
Check the spelling or spelling variations of a word
See how many records in the database contain your word
Check the wording of an exact phrase
To use
this option, click on the Browse Index button next to the Search Type
options.)
This
will bring you to the Browse Index page.
Type
a word in the Browse for: box, select an index to search in, and
click on the Browse button. You will then get a screen, with
your word highlighted.
To
include a word or phrase from the list in a search, click on it.
This will bring you to a Search screen. The selected word or phrase
will appear in the Word, Phrase box. Click on Start Search to begin
a new search.
