The Master List of Periodicals

In the print volumes of the MLA, the title of the journal or source is often abbreviated, as in the second entry on the previous screen (DAI). The abbreviated title of a journal can be looked up in the Master List of Periodicals. This list precedes the Classified Listings in the print version of the MLA Bibliography.

The Directory of Periodicals, which is a separate volume, offers much more information about the journals indexed by the MLA.
